Les Filles, Odette

 

At an inch of life,I met

a damsel such a grace

her fragrance, a roseate lacks,

which I learned to breath.

 

Exalt thy creator,for thine heart

a heart to last bestowed

of an endearing ardor

I never knew she had.

 

Eternal verdance her kindness bear

affable smile of a courteous lady

shown to people with candid maw, was

the essence she brings, oh, vitality

 

Endure, O Lady,fair friend

your life is favored with hope

what the glorious magnificence above have given you,

filles Odette, stand and grasp it,

recur eternally!

  Tis the words I have to tell

Are the words I fear to say

Tis a burning flame in my heart

Aye, a hunger without surfeit

Though my mind forbids me to do so

Yet,my heart speaks otherwise

Then,the two met a compromise...
